How to use a cafetière?

Step 1: Clean the cafetière before or after every time you use it , in case of your coffee tast ing a little old or muddy.

Step 2: Add the coffee powder to the base of coffee press pot, 1 tbsp is about 7g, 8 cups cafetière you need 50-60g (depending on how strong you like it) , use 125ml water per 1 tbsp coffee ground for every cup you want to make.

Step 3: Half fill the cafetière with the hot water, pouring it over the grounds and stir to make all the grounds get wet and submerged in the water; and then pour the rest of the water.

Step 4: Add the lid, and set a timer for about 4 minutes.

Step 5: Slowly and steadily plunge by holding the handle with one hand, and the plunger with the other hand. Fast plunge may let the grounds escape the strainer, or the coffee spurt out of the spout.

Step 6: Pour and enjoy!
